Porcelain Veneers

What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain Veneers are a wonderful cosmetic dentistry treatment that is designed to improve the appearance of damaged, cracked, crooked, or discolored teeth. The shape, dimension, and width of the teeth are altered aesthetically with porcelain veneers to better complement the facial aspects, and rejuvenate the balance and the overall arrangement of the smile.

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that bond to the anterior surfaces of teeth. Custom-mad to meet the needs of each patient individually, the shade, tone, and luminosity of each veneer will meticulously duplicate the patient’s surrounding teeth. With a semi-translucent, enamel-like characteristic, porcelain veneers allow light to become absorbed and reflected off the dentin beneath, resulting in vivid, luminescent teeth that appear altogether all-natural and absolutely flawless.

How are Porcelain Veneers Obtained?

Preparing porcelain veneers is normally a three-step process that commences with a thin buffing of the teeth to eliminate about one half millimeter of enamel. An impression of the patient’s mouth will then be prepared and utilized to create dental veneers that match appropriately to the surrounding teeth. During the course of the concluding phase of treatment, the veneers will be fitted and bonded to the teeth, creating a stunning makeover of the patient’s smile.
